Directions for Getting to the Inn
Maine Turnpike exit 52, to I-295, to route 1 North, to Route 27 South and Boothbay Harbor. Union Street to Atlantic Avenue, straight ahead past footbridge few hundred yards on the left.
Detailed Directions From Boston
Get to the Tobin Bridge. Take exit #27 off the Tobin Bridge. This exit will lead you to Rt. 1 North. From Rt. 1 you’ll get onto Rt. 95 No. Keep following signs to Maine. You will go through N.H. and once into Maine you’ll stay on Rt. 95. Rt. 95 will become the Maine Turnpike. Stay on the Maine Turnpike until exit #52 right after Portland, Maine. Take this exit. After you pay your toll you will go about 1/2 a mile and have to take a sharp right onto Rt. 295 North. (Be careful, it’s easy to miss.) Stay on Rt. 295 for about 20 min. and get off at exit #28 (Bath, Brunswick, Coastal Rt. 1) You are now on Rt. 1 North. You go through several small towns: Brunswick, Bath and Wiscasset. Rt. 1 North is the main street through Wiscasset. The town slopes downward and at the end of this downward slope is a fairly good size bridge. (still on Rt. 1) Go over bridge and take a right onto Rt. 27--about 1/4 mile beyond bridge. This is a ten mile ride that brings you down the peninsula to Boothbay Harbor.
In Harbor & Directly to Inn
After approximately 10 miles on Rt. 27 you will see a set of lights with a “Hannaford” grocery store on your right. Go straight through these lights and up a hill. A fork will be at the top of the hill with a bank sitting in the middle. Bear left at this fork and then take your immediate left onto Pear St. (You’ll notice as you bear left it says one way street - you are allowed to bear left here as long as you then take your immediate left onto Pear St.) Go to end and bear left onto Union St. At end of Union St. is a T. You go right at this T onto Atlantic Ave. and continue following the harbor. The Atlantic Ark Inn, #64, is up on the left side about 1/2 mile. (207-633-5690)
